    3. Hi Leo, you are right, West Virginia did not become a state until 1864 and yes, some of my Rogers did live in Greenbrair county. When I get home from my trip I'll look them up and get back to you. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. 1. [ROGERS] Rogers in Missouri
    2. Verlin Rogers
    3. According to Jefferson County IL census records my ggrandfather, Nathaniel Rogers was born in Missouri. circa 1813. His father, as best we can determine was James Rogers, and they settled in what is now Jefferson County IL. We have many James, including my grandfather and my father; as well as William, including my ggrandfather and an uncle in our family. However we has been unable to actually trace the family any further and to any part of Missouri to date. There would appear to be a tie in with my Rogers family. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Brown" <ltrentbrown@comcast.net> To: <ROGERS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 25, 2003 2:20 PM Subject: Re: [ROGERS] Rogers in Missouri > Hi Leo, you are right, West Virginia did not become a state until 1864 and > yes, some of my Rogers did live > in Greenbrair county.
