I hope its okay for me to jump in here, but it really interested me to read the posting. On my father's s/s app, signed by the way in November of 1936 in Philadelphia, PA, he listed where he worked and their address; where we lived i.e. the address and then where he had been born and the date and then my grandparent's names . It was kind of fun, too because I had thought the s/s app would just verify what I thought I already knew and lo and hehold it gave my grandmother's middle name and I didn't even know she had one. None of my cousins did either. Hope the poster finds her brick wall. That is sooo frustrating.
