I was the one who commented about the "all caps" to the list, and it was never meant as a criticism as I know that font sizes can be adjusted and that there is a magnifier for those who use it. Heavens, I have the worst vision anywhere, and I empathize with those who have even worse. I've been legally blind since I was 22 yrs. old. It is still a fact that all caps means "screaming" in internet lingo, such as it goes. My criticism, if there was one, was that a comment had been made to someone else abt posting to the list as that was what the list was for. Well, it was one of those messages that had been posted on the ROGERS board and then gatewayed to the list. Many people post on those boards and don't even realize that it will be posted to these lists. That just happens, and I thought that the person must not have read the line that said "...this message has been gatewayed to this list... or some such. I am sincerely sorry to have ruffled so many feathers, but it does seem that manners have gone the way of the wind in some corners. No one should have taken offense as certainly none was intended. Now, if some of you would like to take off and crucify me again for making truthful comments, have at it.. Sticks and stones, and all that.... God bless you all, Dolores Miller Pringle
Well said, I'm glad you clarified! I'd let you live another day, but, hey, that's just me, lol. Others may choose the crucifixtion, be on the lookout, ok? I think I'll just be thankful for my very good eyesight and happy that everyone actually meant well. Just a comment about eyesight.....In 2002 I had a series of eye operations involving cataracts and a "membrane" growing on the back of each eye.....Cataract surgery sure helped, but the thing was, I was able to use the computer and read the paper without glasses before the surgeries but not after!!!! With or without glasses... Strange huh? On my 6 months checkup with the surgeon I mentioned my problem..The Doc said I needed "computer glasses" and gave me an Rx....Got it filled and not only can I use the computer with clarity and read the paper but all those headaches from tilting my head up to read thru the bi-focals were gone......If you wear glasses I recommend "computer glasses"....The Doc said they're all the rage these days with computer users..... Sorry if your eyes are much worse giving you monumental reading problems...might also point out that most computer stores have a magnifier that fits over the entire screen with clips..... Old Hal from rainy Northern California...
