Mr. Rogers was 67 years of age last January and had lived all his life in Trigg county. His parents were the late William S. and Mitilda Tart Rogers. In 1886, Mr. Rogers was united in marriage to Miss Nancy E. Rogers, a distant relative, and nine children were born to that union. Two sons died in infancy, and the wife and seven children are living, the names of the children being Luther H. Rogers and Mrs. Leon Wilson of Christian county, while the other five, Claude F. He enjoyed life, believed in the right and practiced it, and as a neighbor and friend, was as true as steel, and loved and respected by all. Funeral and burial took place Friday afternoon at Delmont burying ground, short services being held at the grave, and a large number of friends and sorrowing loved ones were present.
