Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/EkDBAIB/6062.1.2 Message Board Post: David, Do you have any idea where your Daniel was born? The family listed in this post is from Philadelphia, and that is where this Daniel was born, I think. There are a lot of Rogers in the Carolinas and later in more western states, too. I have checked my data, and I have a Daniel Rogers born November 28, 1831; but I have no other information about him, except I believe he was out of his parents' house by the 1850 census. I don't know if he died, or if he had moved away, since he would have been 19 at the time of the census. Daniel's parents were Benjamin Franklin Rogers, Sr. and Margaret Kirkwood Rogers. Using the naming patterns that were in use generally at the time, it is possible that Daniel was named for Benjamin's father. That is the end of the trail for me on this line right now. Another point to remember is that your date(s) could be off unless you have seen primary source evidence of the date of birth. Keep an open mind, and good hunting.
