    1. [ROGERS] Re: Commodore Rogers, North Carolina-Alabama
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/EkDBAIB/3005.3381.3384.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I believe your Commodore rogers could be the right one although there seems to have been two of them about the same age in the same area of Ala & Miss at he same time the only problem there might be is we have always put a "d" in the spelling. But I sure that is a common change I have cousins that spell our name Enlow. We know nothing about Commadore other than his two daughters Susan And Amanda.

    3. After I replied to a similar post privately, decided it might be good to share with the list. "My" Commodore Rogers was born in Fayette Co, OH in 1813. He was a brother to my g grandfather William Henry Harrison Rogers, born in 1815 in Clark Co, OH. The parents of this family of 7 died in OH in 1821 and 1827. Commodore went to Marshall Co, AL around 1838, married Catherine Cargill, had William, Joseph, Catherine, Mary. Commodore and Catherine both died in Marshall Co (ca 1868) and are buried there. If this info is helpful to anyone, I have more about the siblings of Commodore and William. None of the others went to Alabama. Will gladly share. Arvilla
