He was living in Newfoundland at the time. He was stationed there with the US Air Force. So when I was born he was an Airman who was a medic at the base hospital. I found his name listed in a book that I purchased so I know the proper spelling now. Anyway, he came to see me before he shipped back to the US when I was 9 months old. I searched for many years, finding a man I thought was my father. However, when I spoke with his best friend, I found out that he had never been in the Air Force. So at this point, all I know is that his name is Darrell D. Rogers, he was short in stature, and had red hair. He was a medic in the Air Force stationed with the 6600-6604 Northeast Air Command at the USAF hospital at Pepperrell Air Force Base in St. John's, Newfoundland in 1954-55. That may sound like a lot but that and 50 cents will get you a small bag of chips.
