Another poster (*Thank you SO much*) has emailed me and traced the Rogers connection to the following individuals: Jose da Rocha Born: June 1854 Terceiro, Azores Date of arrival in the US: 1871 Mauricia Severina Zepheima Born: March 1858 Faial Azores Date of arrival: 1893 (and there is a manifest that she signed via New York Passenger lists). Now I hope to trace these two individuals to their origins in the Azores. Anyone who has knowledge of them, I would so appreciate any heads up or clues. Thanks again.
