He was a descendant of early Stanislaus County pioneers and settlers: John H. Carpenter and Elizabeth Wallis, James M. Rogers and Catherine Marshall, Sampson Harp and Malinda T. Grace. He graduated from Downey High School and Oregon State University School of Pharmacy. He served in the Air Force. He practiced pharmacy in Modesto until his death. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Harold L. Rogers and O. Joyce Gibson Craig; his brother, Thomas C. Harris and his step father, C.H. Duke'' Craig.
