Author: LEvans7378 Surnames: Rogers, Morrell, Barnard Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.rogers/10129/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am looking for any information on the following family as it appeared in the 1850 census for Shoal Creek Township, Newton Co., Missouri: Joseph Rogers, age 43 (est. 1807), born VA, listed as "physician" with "S____ Doctor" in parenthesis; Sarah Rogers, age 28 (est. 1822), born PA; Cyinda Morrell, age 7 (Mar. 1843), born IL (Schuyler Co.); David Rogers, age 6 mo., (Dec. 1849), born MO; Sarah is my gggrandmother, I do not know her maiden name (possibly Kniffin or Kinffern). This 1850 census is the only definitive reference I know of to her. Cyinda is thought to be Sarah's daughter by Elphonso Morrell, (1801-1879) of Schuyler Co. IL. Another of Sarah's daughters, Anna May Rogers Barnard, born 05/30/1859, Schuyler Co., IL, is my ggrandmother. Anna May's marriage certificate dated 1874, Eau Claire Co., WI, lists her parents as "Alexander Rogers" and "Sarah Rogers." Besides David, there were supposedly two other sons, Joseph and Stephen (dates unknown and father unknown). I have info on Cyinda and Anna May, but am searching for any information on Joseph Rogers, Sarah Rogers, Alexander Rogers, and David, Joseph and Stephen.
