    3. Now, now, don't get your shorts all twisted up about a Rogers sea captain...'tis true 'tis true..... With that said.......please remind me of this message in mid-December when I am home for the holidays as all such information is in paper files at home and I'm on the lap-top in beautiful Sun City AZ visiting the Grand-chiles and their chillens..... This old Hal is 77 years old next month and has paper files from his Great Aunts/Grandmother all of whom were born in the 1870's. When I became interested in genealogy some years ago my Mother (1901-1988) gave me a folder with some Rogers data from my Grandmother, 1877-1954, that she obtained from a cousin of hers concerning the Bush lineage.....the folder had a note on it to wit: "Save for Williams Children as someday they may be interested in family history!"....My Father was William, 1902-1986....and the folder was dated around 1927...I was born of course in 1930 and was I ever interested......... Anyway, besides what this Cousin of Granny's knew of the family, she had gathered articles out of the newspaper ca 1920's about any Rogers she happened to see....among the articles is the story about the ship captain.....most of the articles did not provide a genealogical view but were rather generic in nature.....things like "Some notable Rogers in America" or "Famous Rogers in Britain before 1800".......Nothing to tie one to a specific family.......But remind me please and I'll jot you an e-mail with the good Captains data.... Old Hal, from sunny and 94F Sun City AZ......... [email protected]
