The following information is the reason I have searched all ends of the earth for BEATRICE TIMMS. I believe that Joseph possibly left a child in SC and this lady was related to those Rogers lines. Please contact me if you have any information about Beatrice and/or Joseph. The name James Timms is a tantalizing clue in the SC Land Grants in the 1700's. Thank you very much in advance for your time and help. [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) While I was researching the files of Joseph Rogers(my g-g-g--g-g-g-g-grandfather) in the South Carolina archives, I found a letter written 13 June 1923 by BEATRICE TIMMS in which she stated that she was applying for membership in the DAR on her ancestor Joseph Rogers. She listed some dates and I realized that this is also my ancestor. Joseph's service was in South Carolina but he received his pension in Bedford County, Tennessee. I have been searching for descendants of Joseph and I feel this seems to be a vital clue but I have no information who Beatrice Timms descends from because I have not been able to identify all of Joseph's children. Any information would be very much appreciated and if you relate to this line I would be happy to share information with you. Thank you very much!!! ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
