Hello, I am looking for information on Jesse Rogers/Rodgers who lived in Scott Co., MS from about 1838 – 1860. He married Nancy Nichols in Bibb Co., Alabama on September 29, 1823. Their children were as follows: Mary – b. 1826 in AL Sarah – b. 1828 in AL William – b. 1831 in AL Theophilus – b. 1833 in AL Nancy – b. 1836 in AL John – b. 1838 in MS Martha – b. 1842 in MS Elizabeth – b. 1844 in MS Jesse Rogers/Rodgers was born in NC about 1797. Would anyone know anything about Jesse…who his parents and family members were? Where in NC he was born? There is a Joel Rogers in Leake Co. from 1835 – 1850. Joel was born in NC about 1798. He married Sarah Norred in Bibb Co., AL on September 26, 1822. There was a Jesse Rogers who signed on Joel’s marriage bond and I’ve been wondering if these two were brothers, but have not had any luck finding out who either’s parents were or where they were born in NC.
