    1. [ROGERS] Giles Rogers, d. 1794 Albemarle

    3. I've recently begun researching Giles Rogers who died testate in Albemarle County 1794. But online information seems very confused and contradictory, plus I can find no documentation or evidence provided, just names. So I thought some of you could help straighten me out about: 1. Giles Rogers' will What were the bequests, who were the executors and witnesses, did he give the name of his wife? (I have found that his will was in Albemarle Will Book 3, p. 219-220 and 227-228 and 355, but no dates provided on GenForum post. Also that "his heirs were Aquilla, Parmenas, Ann wife of Robert Davis, Lucy wife of Jonathan Barksdale, and Frances wife of Samuel Twyman.") 2. Giles' wife Woods' History of Albemarle says Giles' wife was "Ann, daughter of John Lewis of Spotsylvania." Online info gives a number of names, usually including Iverson. However, there were several unrelated John Lewis's in Spots, all with land near each other. What is the evidence his wife was "Sarah Ann Iverson" -- I haven't been able to find any Iverson evidence yet or figure out the "Sarah." 3. Rachel Eastham Where does Rachel Eastham fit in here? Is she supposed to be George Eastham's daughter--and which generation of Rogers did she marry? (It's all over the place online!) Thanks very much for anything that can clear my fog and give some tangible evidence for the various online claims. --Joan
