In regard to the following topic, is there any indication of contact or relationship with a Rogers family including Joseph Edward Rogers and (sibling) Elizabeth Lamb Rogers of Davidson County, TN? Both siblings came to Polk County, Texas, Joseph in 1845, and his sister some time previously. Joseph, at least, had an association with the McFaddin/McFadden family of TN and Texas through his marriage to Margaret Ann McFaddin, daughter of David McFaddin 1764 - 1835. Joseph and family moved apparently to be in proximity to the family of the now-deceased(?) Margaret Ann's sibling, James McFaddin (d. 1845) in Sabine Pass, Jefferson County, Texas, in about 1850. I am descended from one of their children, Captain William Edward Rogers of Sabine Pass and Beaumont, Texas. Response from anyone for whom these names ring bells would be appreciated. Roger G.
