In the 1830 Census Thomas and Rebecca Smith(b December 5, 1788 d?) lived in Gilman Pond Plantation, Somerset, ME. They had the following children (This information was provided by a descendent of Wyatt from a Hinkley family bible.) Wyatt Boyden Rogers b. February 14, 1812 William Rogers b. February 11, 1814 d. February 14, 1814 Jeremy Wyman Rogers b Feb 7 1815 d aft 1874 Illinois (My ggg grandfather) Lydia Rogers b. April 24, 1818 Francis S. Rogers b. February 10, 1819 Jane C. Rogers b. October 22, 1821 Esther Catherine Rogers b. April 25, 1824 Noah Rogers b. February 12, 1827 David Rogers b. January 24, 1829 d. February 1, 1829 William M. Rogers (Twin) b. October 3, 1830 Thomas Rogers Jr. (Twin) b. October 3, 1830 d. December 19, 1830 This William M appears to have relocated to Lowell Ma and Worcester MA. Thomas' brother William M relocated to Bath ME where he became a wealthy merchant and had 2 sons, William b abt 1824 and Thomas H b abt 1827 (This is from the 1850 census) Where did you get the information that William was a Maine legislator? By the 1840 Census Thomas is in Industry ME where he is listed as a peddler. He is in the 1870 Census in Moscow ME living with his daughter Jane C and her husband Selden Whitcomb and listed as 'past labor'. Please let me know if this helps.
