I am not researching the exact same people, but the ones I am hunting are no doubt related. My James C. McCoy and wife Sarah Ann Rogers McCoy went into Satolah, Rabun Co, GA, sometime in the late 1880's. They were my 3rd great grandparents. Wish I knew exactly when they went there, but,I feel very certain that the main reason they went was because one of their daughters, or maybe even two, but one daughter, for sure married John Nix. When Sarah Ann Rogers died, in 1930, her daughter, Caroline Nix signed the death certificate or someone put her name there anyway, as the family informant. Have tried and tried to find out more about my Nix people without any success. Obviously they lived, among other places, in Rabun County, GA.
