According to to his grandchildren, he and at least one of his brothers moved to White County, Arkansas in the early 1850's in community known as Dogwood. He was a widower at the time of his move. He supposedly was married 3 or 4 times. One of his marriages was to an Elizabeth Kirkland 04 Sep 1862, who is believed to be the mother of John Paul Rogers b.01 Jun 1863 and died 11 Mar 1902. John F Rogers and John Paul Rogers are both buried in the Old Dogwood Cemetery in White County Arkansas. My Great Grandmother Martha Ida (Rogers) Smith was born Jun 1973 was listed as a daughter in the 1880 Census with John F and Julia Rogers. We believe this is probable her mother.
