Jay Most of the rogers you named I am not sure abt. So far I have managed to trace back to abt 1680 when my people first came to this country (rogers) theTrotman came abt 1660 and the first was Samuel at the age of 16 he fought in the revolution and died abt 1715 in Knox co Tn and is buried there. This is how the barbee's came into my family my GGG- Grand Father Thomas Trotman Married Artemissa Barbee in Grainger co. Tn. in 1811 Most of the Rogers in Tn. were the decendants of Giles Rogers who was my GGGGGG-Grand Father. His children went in every direction from king and queen co Va.after abt 1700 I feel sure that some of the Rogers you mentioned are connected to him. The william Rogers in Al. I am sure was a decendant of the William Rogers in Williamson co. Tn in the mid to late 1700's some of his children are still in there and the surrounding co's one of them died in lawrence co. Tn where I live. he is the one connected to the barber( it is a she Donna) If you try the filson club in louisville Ky you may discover what you need.as a matter of fact I will be going there some time in feb. I hope this will help to make a connection for you. james rogers [email protected] Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
