They lived there for so long that they almost forgot English. On a dark night he ran away and hid in bushes until he couldn't stay any longer due to hunger and thirst. He ran for a cabin as arrows were shot at him by the indians who were still searching. He made it to the cabin and never looked back for his sister. It also said he later went back to where his people were and the house and contents were destroyed by the kidnappers, leaving no trace of his family.
