    3. Thank you Jim for your kind words. I know that I have heard that some people to just want to get information out of other people and then disappear, I guess they are gathering infor to write a book or something. I guess I trust too much, but oh well, I would rather be like that than the other way around. I have been around the websites of MyFamily, Rootsweb, and others for about 13 yrs. now. I did research the old fashioned way before I got the computer, now I use it a lot, but still you can't get all the information on it. They do keep adding all the time though, so sooner or later, it should all be on here. That 1890 census that got burned sure is a huge loss in genealogy, don't you think. Thank you again Jim and I will be careful. I appreciate your writing to me. You are very kind and special to do that! I wish all of us could have that warm desire to help another fellow researcher break down some of their brick walls. I believe the vast majority of the family history researchers who post messages on reputable sites like Ancestry.com are very willing to share their data with others, like you did. However occasionally we see a person who asks for help and promises to share everything they have. When they get the information they want, they abruptly disappear into the cosmos and change their email address, so no one can find them. I have been on a MyFamily.com website that was known for doing this and for pirating information they received from others. Some of the things they posted were nothing but disgraceful lies about others. If you are interested in finding out more about this site, you can email me directly. Please forgive my complaining, but even though I know this outrageous conduct happens infrequently in family history research, you can tell it is still one of my pet peeves! I believe these sites should be banned by MyFamily.com, but it never happens, even when you contact them about what is being posted. Your friend, Jim Have a great day with your best friend -- our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Happy Sabbath Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
