The 1850 Blount Co census shows they had a daughter Isabel(la) who later had a daughter Eliza Jane, who is my wife's great grandmother. Pictures (see attached)of Eliza show strong Native American features. I am trying to determine if the Rogers were in fact Cherokee. As you probably know, many of the Cherokee were forced to migrate to Oklohoma (Trail of Tears) but many others chose to stay in TN and were thus absorbed into the prevalent white society.
