I do not have anything on John H. other than his name and marriage to Hetty 25 Apr 1846, in Blount Co., TN. I would appreciate any info you can give me on him; birth, death, parents, etc. Hetty was Ester "Hetty" Rogers b 1825 Ellejoy, Blount Co., TN, d 30 Dec 1889 place unknown. Her parents were Mary Celia Cagle 1804-1870 and Jessey (Jesse) Rogers b ca 1775 d ca 1852. Jessey's parents were my gggg grandparents Willoughby Rogers b 1756 Virginia, d 23 Jun 1828 Ellejoy, Blount Co., TN. His grave is in the Ellejoy Cemmetery and marked with a stone provided by the Daughters of the American Revolution. Willoughby's wife was Mary Vincent b1757 Wayne Co., NC, d after 1830 bef 1840 Ellejoy, Blount Co., TN. Like many from the area this line is rumored to have a Cherokee Indian connection. This was by word of mouth from my grandfather Leo Bicknese. We have not found it but if it exists it appears it would have come from Mary who we think may have been half Cherokee. Mary's father was Benjamin Vincent b 1735 d after 1800 (listed as Vinson in 1800 Wayne Co., NC census). We do not know his wife's name. There were likely 5 chidren in this family.
