I am a volunteer with the Hays County Historical Commission in Hays County, Texas. I'm working on a Texas Historical Commission designation of the Cocke Cemetery--near Buda, Texas--as a Historic Texas Cemetery...anticipating a subsequent application for a state marker. Eliza (Rogers) Cocke apparently died in 1865 (Hays County? one family tree indicates so), but was apparently buried in the Cocke Family Cemetery in Karnes County, Texas. Her husband, son by the same name, his wife, and a couple of children are buried at the Cocke Cemetery in Hays County. I am very interested in learning of this family's comings and goings in Texas--and in Hays County, specifically. Thanks in advance for whatever assistance you may offer.
