I'm attempting to tie my great-grandfather, Jefferson C. Rogers, to Doswell Rogers of Virginia. Jefferson C. Rogers was listed in the Bledsoe Co., TN, 1850 census with his wife, Nancy Adaline Carder Rogers, and their three sons, James M., 2 1/2, and their 2-month-old twin sons, David F. and Ephraim Hicks. My DNA shows my line of descent is through Doswell Rogers. A Doswell Rogers came from VA to Tennessee (in the Bledsoe Co. area) in about 1800 with three sons. I think this is the line I tie into, but I have not been able to find JC in Doswell's deacendants. Any help in solving this (for me) 32-year mystery) would be greatly appreciated.
