He was a retired farmer and postmaster and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are three sons, Romie ROGERS, Sacramento, Calif., George ROGERS, McHue, and James ROGERS of Newport; three daughters, Mrs. Verna MCCOY of Santa Paula, Calif., Mrs. Josephine GREEN, Chochilla, Calif., and Mrs. Wanda EDWARDS, Batesville; a brother Sherman ROGERS, Lubbock Texas; a sister Mrs. Nettie BROWN, Paril, Ill., 35 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the hitchison Church of Christ with Brother LOCK of Newport officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery with Batesville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. If you connect with this person please contact me.
