Does anyone have knowledge of parents and/or ancestors for the John Rogers listed below? I'd like to find out if there is any relationship of this John Rogers and the Jeremiah Rogers I've been researching - both from Newport, though possibly a generation or two apart. My Jeremiah rogers was born in 1761 in Newport and had two sons there sometime between when he married in 1883 to Fannie Hoxsie and 1790 when the census was taken. He moved after that with his two sons, Thomas and George M., to Brandon, Vermont. The older, Thomas, was documented as born in Newport and he had children born in Lyons, Wayne County, New York, between 1812 and 1818 before returning to Brandon, VT.
