Our g-g-g-g grandfather was Joseph Rogers. He was born Sept 17, 1750. I know for a fact that he served in the Rev. War from Fairfield District, SC and we have his pension papers. Our question is: Has anyone joined the DAR using his military service? From the National Archives we obtained his pension file and in it was a letter dated around 1920 from a Miss Beatrice Timms who said she wanted to join the DAR under his name. Did she join the DAR under his name or did anyone else do so? Second question: Joseph Rogers' brother was William Rogers. He married Isabella "Sibbey" Ledford and lived out his life in Union Co., SC. We have seen that he had fought in the Revolutionary War. Has anyone joined the DAR or SAR on William and does the DAR have any biographical information on him?
