I have a John Rogers born 1800 in South Carolina. I do not know who his father is but I do know the name John shows up at the least 8 times in my Rogers line. If your Ledger book is from South Carolina there might be a clue that we both could use. As was suggested in the other reply you might also give some of the other names from the Ledger. Sometimes this is a good way for other to help you out with a mystery. Possibly there is a unique name in your ledger that will catch someones eye and they came give you further information.
