He specified in his will that a certain piece of land would only be inherited by descendants carrying the name of Adueston/Adenstone/(many versions of the name). His only child, Agnes, was married to John Rogers. There are a large number of Adenstone Rogers across the generations. Some families gave more than one child the name. Doswell Rogers comes from this line. Have you been in touch with Eleanor Edmondson? She is the most knowledgable about this Rogers family and Doswell in particular.
