Thank you for the new information. The link opened up just fine.:) So, apparently, Robert Rogers did not re-marry after the death of his first wife, Georgia Lee Chaney, but from what you mention here AND the link, one of the twins (Joseph), had at least two wives before passing away himself(?) Interesting. Something else I noticed in Joseph's obituary was the term "Pawpaw". I have observed this term as one for "grandfather" quite frequently in the Midwest, and even more pronounced in the Southern part of our Nation. I was told that this term of endearment for a family member originated within the Native American culture (again, more "oral history")? Thank you again for your help in my continued search for information about "Maurine Rogers". I also hope you are able to have ALL your questions answered about your own family, through this site, and the other sites you have been kind enough to "link" me into. You seem to be "! experienced" in this type of research, which has certainly been of great benefit to myself, as well. I can search the "Dawes Rolls" once again, now that I have the name of "Robert Rogers". Perhaps this new search will yield something about his background? I will continue to keep in contact as "new" information becomes available. Thank you again. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
