He in turn is the son of Capt. Smith Rogers a Revolutionary soldier and his wife Ruth Gage of of Barnstable, (on Cape Cod) Massachusetts. The names of the children agree with the names I have gathered from the Barnstable Vital records. Captain Smith Rogers was a mariner thus the captian. He served as private in Amican Revolution (according to Soldiers and Sailors of the American Revolution) He and wife Ruth are buried at the congregational church inS. Dennis, Massachusetts. Lots more info available if you want to contact me. According to my records, you have the right dates for the children. I have 6 children listed 2 unknown born around 1825 to 1830.
