I have been hoping Samuel and Sarah had a son Alexander. I have an Alexander Waugh Rogers born about 1825 in PA. I found him on the 1850 census in Lawrence County, PA living next to Samuel and Sarah Rogers. Samuel is a saddler and Alexander an attorney. Living with Alexander's family is a John N. Rogers, also a saddler. Alexander's wife was Sarah Sabina Cotten of Ohio.
John, this doesn't really help me, however, it will help our cousin. Thank you very much. ----- Original Message ----- From: <johnobrien@kc.rr.com> To: <ROGERS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 01, 2003 3:20 PM Subject: [ROGERS] Jonathan ROGERS d. 1 August 1892 - Kansas City, MO > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: ROGERS > Classification: Obituary > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EkDBAIB/5663 > > Message Board Post: > > "The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Tuesday, August 2, 1892 > > DIED OF OLD AGE. > > Jonathan ROGERS, 82 years of age, was sitting in his store, > 708 Independence avenue, yesterday morning at 11 o'clock. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Rogers, Rodgers, Roger Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/EkDBAIB/5665 Message Board Post: Hi Cousins My name is Thomas William Rogers. I formerly was using travelback4u@aol.com and travelback4us@aol.com for many years. I know many of you and miss chatting with you. Over the past two years a great deal of negativity and evil has came into my family. I am currently in the middle of a divorce, that only my wife of 22 years wants and that I am stil praying somehow it will all be taken care of by God. My mom Cleta Irene Rogers is currently in Methodist Hospital, Room S410, Glen Oak Ave. Peoria Illinois and is terminally ill with cancer. She has only a couple of weeks left at the most and I would ask for prayers, and any cards you might send to cheer her up. The Village of Deer Creek and many residents there in have set out to destroy my family because of my politically verbal activities over past years. Some actually have conspired and manipulated events that came between my wife and I. As a result, I am currently homeless and contacting you thru a Library Computer. So my family needs your continued prayers. You can reach me thru my parents address at 801 W. Forrest Hill in Peoria Illinois. I am asking that any of you who know me and have followed my positive genealogy works, thru the formation of the web site http://www.expage.com/ancestorial and the Rogers/Rodgers Family Database "keep an eye open" for what happens to me. If something happens, turn to the Database for answers. What I wanted in my obituary is there along with where I wanted buried. I am a good man who has attempted to do good things for this family name and for my Country. I am a Christian and one who has endured the suffering of JOB of the Bible. My health, and life has been filled with stress the entire days of my life. So I am asking for your continued prayers, support and watchful eyes as to what happens in my life. I thank you for this and appologize for using this outlet to communicate with you. Thomas William Rogers 311 N. Main Street Deer Creek, Illinois 61733

Has there been any planned Rogers get together in Oregon this season ? I am also trying to find out if any one had any more info on Henry Rogers , so far all I could find out is he was from NY, went to Wiss for some war duty, then some how ended up in CA and Oregon, died about 1909, No records in the Eugene/Springfield cemetery of the burial, or the stone of which I have a picture looked like an odd fellows but is not. Has any one found any thing on Oregon Rogers they wish to share? On one form I got from the last reunion was Henry Rogers moved to Oregon, but no more, I think it was on the ones from Jerimia Rogers or something, some one here gave them to me i was wondering if there was a more clarification yet there ?
