Richard (according to family notes) died in in 1856 an equestrian accident and was with the Spalding and Rogers Circus. I would also like to find if there is a connection between Richard and Charles J. Rogers who was part owner of the Circus with (Dr.) Gilbert R. Spa(u)lding. Does anyone follow or have information about these connections?

Kristi, regarding the information below: Your information caught my attention for several reasons. My g-g-g-g grandfather, Joseph Rogers lived in Oglethorpe Co., GA from about 1792-1805. One of his sons was James Alfred Rogers who married Susannah SIKES. I am wondering if your Joseph could be one of James Alfred Rogers sons. To date, I have only identified three sons for James: Daniel Willis, Thomas Madison and James. Your Joseph's son, Sikes, has such an unusual name, could he have been named for his mother's maiden name? Could you provide any additional information for the parents of your Joseph, or where your Joseph was born, etc.? If your Joseph connects, I can provide lots more Rogers information. Hello, Would anyone know anything about a young man named S. T. Rogers 20 years old, born in Alabama who appeared on the 1850 Leake Co., Mississippi census in the household of John Boon? He apparently helped John Boon with his farm. Besides the Boon family and S. T. Rogers, there was also a Wm. Roberts within the household. Any information would be greatly appreciated. KA, I know this is a longshot, but here goes anyway. Noticed the middle name of your email was DeKalb. Not very common, I don't think. My gf was Julius DeKalb Rogers, b 1829 in NC, parents Joseph Rogers and Narcissa Finch (Rogers). My gf had two other brothers and 3 half brothers, two of which to GA and TX. Just curious if you have any ties to NC Rogers and if so, I would be really happy to share what I have. I have run up against a brick wall re Joseph and Narcissa. Regards, Robert Rogers.

I am trying to trace the migration of my uncle Samuel Bertram ROGERS (b. 1901) to Australia. He was born in England, was a merchant seaman during the 1920's, listed in the Electoral Rolls in West Ham, England as an absent voter until 1927. I believe that he settled in Australia after that, and married there. After WW2 he lived in Sydney (Randwick) with his wife Ada and two sons Graham and John. I have searched the NSW BMD online and cannot find any details of a marriage for him during the period searchable online. I realise that he might have migrated originally to somewhere else in Australia., or even to New Zealand. After he died (in the late fifties/ early sixties) my father lost touch with the family. He is a dairyman on his own dairy. 1880 Census (LDS) for Boone Twp., Columbia Co., AR, lists Jasper D. Rogers, age 5, born AR. Father: David Rogers, age 47, born AL. Mother: Mary C. Hello All: I just joined the Rogers-D list in hopes of finding: Russell E. ROGERS, born Maine circa 1870 [mother's name Maude] and his wife Bessie BELL born Maine 1871. They were married in Maine about 1893-1895 and moved to Michigan - I think Detroit, where they had a son Don Francis ROGERS born 4 May 1897 died 1963.
