    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EkDBAIB/5722.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Thanks, I live in Henry Co. Tn that joins Weakley and looking at the map Hickman Co. Ky joins Graves Co. I know Albert George lived in and around Mayfield Ky all of his Ky. life. He died on the Tn. side in 1895 while visiting and at that time it was in Buena Vista which was close to Dukedome and it is in Weakley Co. If I can find some Rogers living there in 1895 then I may have a clue. His brother William B. lived next door to him in Lynville Ky. Maybe we can get the Weakley Co. Rogers connected to Albert. Thanks Roberta Rogers Hill

Joseph was a typo. I meant to say that "Jacob was of Indian blood". There were numerouse Rogers in Weakley Co., but all from the line of Job/Peleg Rogers primarily. I have not been able to confirm any relationship with this line although they all seem to have come to Weakley Co. around the same time... just prior to Weakley Co. being formed from Indian lands in the 1820's. Jacob came by wagon train but I do not believe he came directly from NC - but rather through Hickman Co. Ky. possibly. There is possible sibling relationship with a Joel Rogers who later moved to Mississippi. Joel I believe was born in 1798. Not much info. I know Thanks again, David

    2. I am searching for anyone who may have any information on my gr-grandmother's family. Mattie was my gr-grandmother. She married Robert Early Etheridge/Etheredge in McLennan County TX on 21-Oct-1894. Very little is known about Mattie's family. It is believed her father and mother may have died when she was young. It is possible she may have lived with a German family at some time. My mother said she talked about having a brother named Will. She and Robert moved to GA after 1910. They were in Cooke County TX in 1900 and Hardeman County TX in 1910. According to the SSI information I received her father and mother are listed as George Rogers and Mary Bishop. Would appreciate any help...with the 1890 census being non-existent I haven't been able to find anything on her before her marriage in 1894. Thanks, Donna Johnson

Rogers, also known as J.C. Rogers, b. 1805 in NC who married Sarah Dunn?, a Native American, around 1830. Joseph is also thought to be of Indian blood. Sarah was b. 1810 in KY. She and Jacob were in Weakley Co. TN as of 1830 thru the 1860 census. They had several children: Mary b. 1831, Robert 1833, Jane 1836, Lena 1838, John 1841, Martha L. 1847, Tennessee 1848, William C. 1851, Matthew 1854 and Richard Patterson 1858. I can verify that Martha L., William C. and Richard Patterson remained in the area. But Jacob and Sarah are not listed in the 1870 census of Weakley Co. Jacob trained Confederate troops and was called Capt Jake. Otherwise I'm at a dead end. I don't know if there is a connection with your people but there are a lot of name similarities. Please let me know if you see anything. Thanks David Duncan
