I am still at that brick wall trying to find my Ggrandfather. Here is what I know... I am Margaret hamilton, daughter of Mildred(rogers),daughter of Edward and Margaret(cole)Rogers..Edward was b.Oct 22,1905 in Springfield MA..he has 3 brothers..Horace b.Oct.1904...Harley & Martin(twins)B.Oct 1910...there was also a younger sister but I cant find her, but I beleive her name was Charlotte(notsure). Horace died in CAL...Edward died in CT in 1985...Harley died in FL..and Martin in MA.... Edward joined the navy and while stationed in New London CT, met and married Margaret Cole(Kohl) in 1931...my mother was born in 1947 in New London..I was born in New London in 1967. Anyway I lose track here...My grandfather's birth cert. from mass..list his mother as Bessie May Spear(s) from Sandisfield Mass...and his father as William H.Rogers from So.Windsor CT. Here is where I can find no more info....we beleive Willaim's father was a Charles but have found no proof as of yet. IF anyone has info or tips where to look next, please let me know...thanks Margaret Hamilton grand daughter to Edward Rogers...

He married Lula Belle KEENER on 1 June 1902 in Ranger (Yell Co.), Arkansas. They resided in Arkansas where they had two daughters: Bivian Mae (8 Oct 1905 - 6 May 1931) and Mona Ola (3 June 1907 - 7 Nov 1911). William supposedly drowned while fishing with another man, his body was never recovered. He must have died between 1907-1911, as Lula Belle remarried in December 1911 to William Jasper Pennington. I have searched everywhere... Erwin Rogers married Alma H. Swanby. Erwin b. est. 1896. I cannot find any information past what I have found on the family tree portion of ancestry.com. He is the only one listed married to Alma. Erwin is my GGrandfather - I am sure he past away in California. My Grandfather James Monroe Rogers was born in Los Angeles. This is all the info I have for him. My grandmother has told me that the family originates from Texas - what part I am not sure of. But when looking at some of the Census images I ran across Abermile, TX - with Thomas Rogers who may/ may not be my GG grandfather. I know I will have to eventually order the birth cert. on my Grandfather to find out and go from there but if anyone has any information in the meantime that would be a beautiful thing. It is killing me with curiosity how I can be off not even 8 generations from the Rogers/ Clark line. AGH!! I guess this is what keeps us going. The constant search to find out where we came from. Herbert remarried May Laura Dyer; b. 3-19-1874 and d. 10-26-1961. They had four sons and one daughter. I would like to know more about Annie's lineage. I believe her father was Charles Rogers; b. in TN in 1847 and her mother was Fannie Haile Rogers; b. 4-21-1858 and d. 11-3-1878 in Logan County, AR. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I am excited about reading your message. Emily was born in Ireland about 1828. Her parents were Jane and John Rogers. They were in Liverpool by 1841 as they are on the 1841 census(not John) but it doesn't say where in Ireland they came from. It is possible that there were other brothers and sisters. My 3xgrandfather was born in Liverpool 1833. I have looked for a marriage for Emily in Liverpool as she is not on 1851 census under Rogers but can't find one. When did your Emily marry and where? On my 3x grandfathers birth record it has John as a mariner but on his marriage cert he is listed as a labourer. Does any of this help? Carolyn

I can't believe I found someone else in my family to add to the family book I just finished printing! You can find the whole family in Tishomingo Co. Miss., and the Tiptons and Womacks were neighbors! Sure hope you get this and respond.
