He married a Mary YOung in 1853 grainger county tenn. I located him on the 1860 Jefferson, Tn, with four children. David dies in Civil war fighting for the Union, and he is buried in Hamblem county. Mary then marries a cousin( gossip) Thomas Rogers and I found them on the 1870 Census. I can not seem to find David on the 1850 census. Maybe someone out there knows about David.

    3. Subject: Rogers...Dock Could there be any connection to our Ro(d)gers family? We have a Clem Franklin "Dock" Reynolds b. April 17, 1894 who was always called "Dock" . His mother was Mary Elizabeth "Molly" Rogers b. Nov. 9, 1865 near Weatherford, Texas and died Tioga, Grayson Co., Texas. She married Edward Willis Reynolds, the father of our "Dock". Could you give me any connection to the William Rogers born in North Carollina. We are hunting connections to William Jackson Rogers and Silas Rogers. We believe there are possibly other siblings.

    3. Do you have much on Robert Rogers, My Robert Rogers was born in 1830. His family was from Va. and He was born in Kty. The family then moved to Illinois where he was married to Elizabeth Anderson b. 1839 in Illinois.(I believe this was the time of the Illinois Territory. They were in Fulton Co. Illinois in 1850s. and then on to Arkansas and Texas by 1870. I am having a time looking for my great-grandparents. Alphonse was married to Hulda HATCH (whose line is well documented. They had eight children, all born in Aroostook County, Maine. But ... Nathan (Nathaniel) Rogers was my gggrandfather. The 1860 Jefferson County, IL census it shows a Susan Robertson 31 KY, which we have found should have been Robinson. Nathaniel was first married to Hester A. Stilley. Nathaniel's son, William J. Rogers first married Susan's daughter Sarah, then after she died, married her sister Nancy J. Robinson , my ggrandmother. After Hester died, Nathaniel married Willaim J.'s mother-in-law.
