I seen in your tag line that you are researching the Davidsons also. I have an Aleri Rogers who married a Mary Davidson in Rockbridge County, VA.....would this be any of your Davidsons? Her father was John who served in the Revolutionary War. Jan Brown

I am looking for info on a Josephine/Josie Scott who married a Rogers/Rodgers. They were from Giles Co., TN. Josie was born after 1850--I think around 1851 or so. Her parents were William Scott and Mary Kidwell. Mary Kidwell's mother was Elizabeth Angus I just really do not have much info on Josie/Josephine. I have found a James and Josephine Rogers in the 1880 Giles Co., TN. census in 13th District, but have no idea if this could be them. The Scott's, Angus' and Kidwells lived in and around this area--northern part of Giles (13th, 14th, 15th Districts). So this James and Josephine could be a possibility. Would anyone on this list happen to have run across these names in their Rogers research? Judy Sanders

Hi Leo in Illinois & Missouri, yes, I too had Rogers go to Missouri, but, I haven't progressed that far yet so I don't know how long or if they stayed. I do know the main Rogers was William Fisher Rogers and his wife Cecilia. They left West Virginia and landed in Saint Louis where Cecilia died after giving birth. I do know that some of the children lived in Kansas, some in Washington and some in Oregon. I just don't have all the facts yet. Do you think your bunch might fit in here somewhere? Let me know.
