He may be the son of Richard Rogers and Elizabeth Warren of Dutchess/Putnam Cos, NY, but I haven't yet found the source records for this couple at all. Richard Rogers was the son of John Rogers, who is apparently mistakenly claimed to have married Hester Verveleen. Please note that Amos specifically mentions his Cole grandchildren, sons of Lewis Cole and Hannah Rogers of Tompkins; this connection hasn't been mentioned on the net before.
