    3. I am looking for information on my great(4)grandparents. I know my ggggrandfather was John Rogers, and he was born in Beaver, Pike, Ohio 6 Oct 1811, and died in Nebraska 27 Feb 1886. He is shown in some genealogies as being born in Pennsyvania. This is inaccurate, unless there are two John Rogers with the same birthday. I know some census' show the birthplace as PA, but it is Ohio. He had several children with first wife Mary Gordon and also with second wife Nancy Mock. Johns fathers name is also John and they lived in Beaver, Ohio in 1820. I would appreciate any help in identifying his wife and their parents, and where they were born Thanks. 3. Joyce, I have been researching Thomas Rogers, b. ca 1770 in Bertie Co NC, m. Jane Hampton. I don't know when they moved to SC, but he was there in 1806 when their son, Richard Hampton Rogers was born. They also had a son, Thomas Rogers, but don't know when or where he was born. Thomas was in TN, I believe in Bedford Co., later when daughter Nancy m. John McGuire.--The family, including Nancy and John moved to Fayette or Tuscaloosa Co AL. and were there ca 1818. My late husband, Ralph Rogers Wheeler, was gr gr grandson of Thomas and Jane Rogers.
