In 1841 Dennis is shown with his wife Caroline ( Brown ) at Prospect Parade .St Phillip & Jacob.Bristol. Dennis as a Haulier. Dennis is shown as age 20 in 1841 . A son George is shown age 4 months. Caroline died in 1845 and Dennis remarried to a Sarah Cottle in 1848..who was born St George. Gloucs. In around 1826..? In 1851 Sarah is shown in St George (Bristol) as Wife ( Not Head) married with daughter Emma age 9m.( Bapt 15 Sept 1850 St P & J ) She is not with husband Dennis and no sign of George. In 1861 Sarah is shown in St George ( Bristol ) as married ..Head .husband Dennis and son George not there..they have children.Emma is there age 11. Can anyone help me find Dennis and George after 1841..??? And Sarah after 1871..?? George may have married to a Phoebe Tailor in 1867 as he is shown on the marriage certificate as age 24 son of Dennis Rogers .Haulier. The only problem with this is on the same day an Emma Rogers ( Age 25 )daughter of Dennis Rogers a Haulier married in the same church. She died in 1872 age 30.Shown in 1871 age 28. Where is she in 1851 and 1861..??Along with Dennis and George?? This Emma doesn't match the one shown in the 1851 & 1861 census with Sarah (and the bapt date of 1850..) Would Dennis really of had two daughters called Emma from two marriages ??? Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.. Many Thanks Robin. I'm wondering if anyone has any info at all on a Rogers [Roggers/Rodgers] family connected with a Conaway [Conway?] family that would have been in GA in the early to mid 1800s. I am trying to find the parents of Catherine Rogers, Mary Conaway or Martha Elizabeth Rogers Daniels. I have found Catherine(birth year approx. 1858 in AL -- mother's birthplace GA, father's AL) and her husband Peter Lawson Daniels (birthyear approx. 1855 AL or TX) living with Mary Conaway (birthyear approx. 1810 from GA) living in Palo Pinto TX in 1880. Catherine is called "Martha" on subsequent census' and on her and Peter Daniels' marriage license. Since Mary Conaway is listed as "grandmother" and is from GA as is Catherine's mother, I am assuming that she is Catherine's, rather than Peter Daniels', grandmother. Can anyone connect my Martha/Catherine? Jean in California Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I'm not aware of anyone by these names in my family tree and I think it probably was in a box of books my dad brought home many years ago in Southern California. The records are for Daniel D. Rogers born July 10, 1842, died Aug. 29, 1935, and Elizabeth (or Elizebath...spelling varies) born Nov. 12, 1854, died Dec. 2. 1904. They were married July 10, 1870. Includes the names of children Bryan, Julia, Griffin, and Delia. Nothing about where they lived, but there are store receipts from New York area in the book. There are leaves and flowers pressed between pages, along with hair from the children and a corsage. Donna" I do NOT have any information regarding this item. Please visit the website for more info.
