Author: Encanto59 Surnames: Rogers, White Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.rogers/6510.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: It appears that you have or have seen the will of John Rogers, who had a wife Judith (---); I am going back to my database to key in the children on John Rogers, Jr. to get a better idea of where he was at certain times in his life and when/where he may have married a second wife, Judith (---). Nothing found in VRs of Weymouth or Billerica. I, too, am trying to straighten out info sent to me some years ago or that I have found on internet over the years; I am descended from John Rogers, Sr. and wife Judith whose daughter Lydia md. Joseph White. This time around, I am wondering if there was a second wife (Judith) for John, Jr. or if the father and son have been confused with each other and John, Jr. had only the one wife; the Judith referred to in information I have in regards to a probate actually was the probate for John, Sr. who did have a wife Judith. I do not have any dates in what I have been sent, or what I found on line, to know. Seeing the dates in the will, probate, would help to straighten all of this out. Would you be willing to exchange any information we may have and to share the contents of the will? I have just been online to see if I could find a way to view his probate, but so far, no luck. (I do not have access to research libraries where I live). You can contact me off site at: [email protected] Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: mcdreg Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.rogers/6569.1.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I saw your Aug 2001 posting regarding Thomas Rogers and Nancy Cutler/Cullor. I just returned from the Library of Virginia. The bond index lists Nancy's last name as Cullor but the book Marriage Records of Accomack County, Virgionia 1776-1854 Recorded in Bonds, Licenses and Ministers' Returns shows Nancy's last name to be Cutler. Several months were missing from the microfilm showing the actual bonds and the bond for Thomas Rogers and Nancy Cutler was missing. I went through the actual documents but the bond was not there. I called the Accomack courthouse and they did not have the bond. Thomas and Nancy Cutler Roger's daughter is Nancy Elizabeth Rogers married to David Tyree. It appears Nancy Cutler's father is George Cutler of Accomack, VA. Have you found anymore information on the Rogers/Cutler families? Author: AnneHalford Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.rogers/10155.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The biography of the widow Jane Rice, (Pages 866-867 History of Jackson County, Michigan ..... Publication: Chicago : Inter-state Publishing Co., 1881) states that daughter Sarah L lives in New York so in the 1880 census, that would probably be the place to look. She may have come back to Michigan to care for her mother, or to be with her family just before she died. In the Sheridan, Calhoun Co., Michigan 1850 U.S. census, Sarah (age 20) was not with her family, so she might have been married in Calhoun Co. instead of Jackson Co., Michigan. The obituaries of family members might give you more information. Anne Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
