    3. I have the following Rodgers information. I would love to connect with anyone working on the same line. Thomas possibly was married in Pa. Possibly was in Augusta Co., Va. Was in Washington Co., Tn. by 1779. Marlene [email protected] Descendants of Thomas Rodgers Generation No. 1 1. THOMAS1 RODGERS was born ??, and died April 06, 1800 in Washington Co., Tn.. Notes for THOMAS RODGERS: Will dated 4/6/1800 Washington Co. Tn. and signed by him leaves land to sons Samuel, William, Andrew and mentions sons Moses and James plus 3 unnamed daughters. Will witnessed by Jas Rogers and Thomas Biddel Children of THOMAS RODGERS are: i. DAUGHTER 2 RODGERS. ii. DAUGHTER 3 RODGERS. iii. SAMUEL RODGERS, b. Abt. 1765. 2. iv. WILLIAM RODGERS, b. Abt. 1770; d. 1830, Washington Co., Tn.. v. Daughter 1 vi. ANDREW RODGERS, b. Aft. 1770. vii. MOSES RODGERS, b. Aft. 1770; m. ANNA MCCALL, July 25, 1789, Greene Co., Tn.. viii. JAMES RODGERS, b. Aft. 1770. Generation No. 2 2. WILLIAM2 RODGERS (THOMAS1) was born Abt. 1770, and died 1830 in Washington Co., Tn.. He married SUSANNAH in Tennessee. She was born 1784 in Tn., and died 1876 in Washington Co., Tn.. Notes for SUSANNAH: A deed to sell 158 acres of land by the heirs of William Rogers to Christian Zetty and dated 5/5/1846 in Washington Co., Tn. is the only document I have found that confirms Susannah as the widow of William Rogers. The deed lists heirs as parties to the sale and includes Susannah Rogers widow of Wm. Rogers, dec. James [that has 4 shares of his own, that includes property he had already purchased from co-heirs Thomas Riddle and wife[Jane Rogers], Malan Mahoney and his wife [Elizabeth Rogers], Samuel Hicks and his wife [Mary Ann Rogers. Transfer of Mary Ann's inheritance interest to James Rogers was dated 2/21/1845], James M. Archer and his wife Lucinda [Rogers], Matilda Rogers, E. Barkley and Isaac McPherson who hold the interest of Dana Rogers [1850 census lists him as idiot] and E. S. Mathes who holds the interest of Thos. Rogers was married to Rachel Mathes. These were named as the heirs of Wm. Rogers in this deed. 6/13/1848 Demarcus Rogers conveyed his interest in the 158 acres of a legacy from estate of Wm. Rogers to James Rogers. 6/1841 Samuel F. Rogers and wife Nancy [Hartman] conveyed their interest in the inheritance from the estate of William Rogers of a tract of land containing 158 acres. Using these transfers of interest in the inheritance of the 158 acres that was sold by the above heirs listed in this sale to Christian Zetty allows me to name Susannah ? as the widow of William Rogers and their children as: James Rogers [who never married. Susannah and Dana b. abt. 1828 lived with him until she died. Later census show James caring for John Rogers b. about 1827 "idiot". I believe John and Dana are the same person since the characterization of idiot is used to describe both names and both names never appear together in a census. Each census lists either John or Dana.] Dana or John, Jane, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Lucinda, Matilda, Thomas, Samuel and Demarcus. 1830 census shows 1m. 20-30 James was b. abt 1805 and would have been abt. 25, Thomas was b. abt. 1807 and may have already been married at that time, 1m 15/20 Samuel was b. abt 1814 and would have been abt. 16, 1 m. 5-10 Demarcus was b. abt. 1826 and would have been 4 or 5, 1m 0-5 Dana or John was b. abt 1827/8 and would have been abt. 2 or 3. Basing age on marriage dates, census showed Susannah plus 2 f. 20-30 Jane m. 1/27/1831, 1 f. 15-20 Elizabeth m. 12/10/1835, 2 f. 10-15 Mary Ann m. 8/2/1840, 1 f. 5-10 Lucinda m.1845. Matilda was unmarried in 1848 and of an undetermined age. I have named 5 daughters. 1830 census showed 6 daughters. I have named 5 sons. 1830 census showed 4. Thomas Rodgers was married in 1828 and out of the household. In a section of Fairview Cemetary at Sulpher Springs that contains Rogers graves are three hand carved rough stones lying side by side. One reads WRDR 1830. I believe this is William Roger's grave. 1830 census lists Susannah as head of household. One is carved with MAR 1837. This may be the missing female from the 1830 census. The third reads Susannah 18_6. Susanna appears in the census through 1870. I believe she died 1876. Children of WILLIAM RODGERS and SUSANNAH are: i. M A3 RODGERS, d. 1837, Washington Co., Tn.. ii. JAMES RODGERS, b. 1805. iii. THOMAS RODGERS, b. 1807; d. Bet. 1845 - 1850, Washington Co., Tennesee; m. RACHEL MATHES, December 23, 1828; b. April 10, 1811, Washington Co., Virginia; d.
