Hello everyone! I am in Digest Mode only now so I receive my messages late ...... As the original list members know, I started this list years ago at Maiser when the "Rogers Hunters" were having trouble contacting each other. When Maiser went down (because of a spammer) RootsWeb jumped in and saved all the Genealogy lists and that is how we came to this Web Server. I think there is a time when we all see the sign when we have been doing something toooo long and are no longer productive. If I have followed my own 'instincts,' the events that happened several weeks ago, would never have ............ and that cost this list a lot of misery and about 1/3 of the membership! So the old saying "one bad apple can spoil the batch" (or something close to that) is based on some truth ............ After all of the commotion happened, I watched the list looking for someone that I felt could not only be a good listowner, but someone who would be stronger and less emotional than myself ........ I chose Dan, and I see that he is doing a FANTASTIC job! Please give him your support ...... it is not easy to run a large list like this! Dan and I agreed to NOT make an announcement that there was a new listowner so the list could heal without more controversy ...... and as he said .....
