Ok Since I am an up front person - Honest cut and dried I am going to say this only once and I hope people read this. I would not have mentioned this had Thomas not started something . I was sent a message from his list saying that I am againest the CD project , and that I will moderate or unsub any one who mentions it on this list . I answer this as such NO I am not againesnt the CD project , just the results of what happened from its beginning - --------------------------------------------------------- We ALL want our heritage put where we can find it all in one place am I right ? Yes I am . I did ask him to keep his project to his list since he saw fit to try to undermine the exhisting list , and cause havok in some ways , not always his fault , but in a communication break down many hurt full things were said and done . I have been re reading the whole thread on this and I think for whats happened through this whole thing was an emotional drain on a few people , and we lost ALL of Lane's work, and websites , plus a couple others who ask to remain anonimous . Also we have a copy right rules that applies to the list that the members here do not send these message to any one off list or another list . Do not forwords messages with out permission . - ---------------------------------------------------------------- WE ARE ROGERS_RODGERS_ROGER People and we should be as one family type group striving together , we should all work together and being devided over a CD project I think is like a child like power play , I wont play power games with Thomas or any one , I will only be a part of all of you like a brother and if Thomas wants to believe I loose people over this he is welcome. I only moderate people when it looks like there is going to be a potential list argument, and when I am convinced its ok, I will unmoderate them ( so dont get mad on the list <grin) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --- MY Moto is I am all for what is best for all of us. I think a CD project would be for the best . How ever I also thinks its a little premature to claim it is finished . I also think if there is such a project and with OUT a power play , it should by rights include ALL ROGER variants name members . Saving data on CD and trading it is one thing . I am simply going to display your data on the web site where you all have access (free) I will also copy any ones data to cd and send it back to you (free) ask in private on that. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ BOTTOM line is this . I have been writing to Thomas , and I pose no war , just think it was a little sad to have to run to rootsweb and start a new surname list to undermine all you good people . I am a cat of a different nature and I belive genealogy should be free , I also want to help people locate you with free data on my web site which I will post its link and put it in the tag lines soon . - ----------------------------------------------------- Who ever is on Thomas list be notified you will not be vaporized as he say's . I simply feel if its in the business of *his* project it should be in his presence.
