Alice, Most list managers don't bother to tell anyone they leave, let alone get someone to replace them! Most of the lists I adopted were abandoned lists where the list manager just stopped without getting a replacement or telling anyone. Every list I have I immediately sent a message to the list explaining that I adopted the list.
