>From "150 Years of Noble County History", Noble Co. Ind. Robert Charles Rogers was born in Blackford County, Indiana, in 1923. He was the oldest of 3 children born to Charles Walter Rogers and Bertha Payne, and has one sister, Charlotte Mitchener of Couch, Missouri, and one Brother, David, of Hartford City. In 1950, Bob married Annabel Longyear in the Wayne Center Methodist Church. Annabel was born in 1925 in the old Longyear Homestead which had been in the family since 1844. A descendant of the Wible and Strater families, she was the youngest of six children born to Charles L. Longyear and Nina Kreiger. Her brothers are Elmer and Charles Longyear, and her sisters are ? DePew, Mary Cochard, and Ellen ?. Bob and Annabel set up housekeeping east of Wayne Center School and farmed 320 acres for 18 years. in 1968, they purchased the old "Wallie Wible" farm, Allen Township one mile west of Lisbon. The house and barn are over 100 years old. The Rogers have four children, Son Philip Charles Rogers, born 1952, in Illinois, Daughter Barbara Ann, born in 1953, Daughter Beth Arlene, born 1955, and Son Wesley born 1957.
