Still looking for my elusive George W. Rodgers, b. abt 1824 in PA, mar. Elizabeth Bixler in OH, and settled in Noble Co. IN.!!! While searching, I copied an article from "Noble County 150 years". The article's subject is Oliver Farwell Rogers (born Rodgers) of Reading Vt., who was the youngest of seven orphaned children of Marstin Rodgers and his wife (name unknown), who died in a "spotted fever" epidemic in Reading, VT. Little is known of his early life, except his siblings names, Edda, Martha, Caroline, Patricia, Sarah and Thomas. Oliver was born about 1811, and married Mariah Bradburn of PA in Cleveland, OH July 4, 1839 or 1842. Their obituaries differ....... Article goes on to tell about Oliver's life in Noble Co., IN. There is a second article on Robert C. ROGERS, b. in Blackford Co., IN. in 1923, the oldest of 3 children born to Charles Walter Rogers and Bertha Payne....Article goes on to tell about his life in Noble Co.
