Ala concerning my Gr Gr Gr Grandfather Joel Rogers (spelled RODGERS on the doucument but signed by Joel ROGERS) and Jesse Rogers (also spelled RODGERS on the document but signed Jesse ROGERS). Dated 25 Sept 1822, bound to Isreal Pikens Govenor of Alabama till the sum of 200.00 is paid in full. There was also a marriage for both while bound to the Govenor. I read there was a large imigration of Scottish into Alabama in 1822, also lots of Slave trade durring that time with Imigrants coming in also. If any of this sound familiar I would appreciate any and all ideas and help. I have no other information on this Joel, his grandson Joel Benjamen was my Gr Grandfather. We wonder if Jesse may have been a brother. Thanks in advance Glenda McCoy Siegrist
