That all fits to a cousin I am trying to find. I see that you listed your name as James E. Rodgers. Your middle name doesn't happen to be Ellsworth, does it? My great aunt's name was Effie Louise Skidmore, born and lived most (if not all) of her life in Texas. Effie is buried in San Antonio, TX. She married a Hubert Ellsworth Rodgers, and they had 3 children. 1) Alice Louise, b. 4/13/1921 2) Hubert Ellsworth Rodgers, Jr. (called Buddy), b. 5/31/22 3) Margaret Ellen, b. 11/7/1924 H.E. (Buddy) Rodgers died trying to save 2 men off the island of Guam during WWII, 3/3/1945. His wife, Evelyn Mooney Rodgers, was pregnant at the time and gave birth 11/6/1945 to a son, JAMES ELLSWORTH RODGERS. Evelyn moved to California not long after, and the family lost touch. Buddy was the closest thing my father, his cousin, had to a brother and he would love to find Buddy's son. You wouldn't be him would you? Lori Buzzo lbuzzo@hotmail.com
